Makati Shangri-La is readying to welcome guests once again after a closure of more than two years.
The iconic hotel will reopen on August 8, 2023 and they are already accepting reservations for guests who are eager to stay and experience their renowned luxury services once again.
Makati Shangri-La was forced to close its doors back in February 2021. Just like many other hotels throughout the Philippines, the challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic led to few or no room or event bookings and a significant reduction in non-essential spending. With that came the need to implement reduced staffing, salary cuts for managers and reduced work weeks.
Ultimately Makati Shangri-La took the decision to shut down temporarily.
Eagle eyed past employees however, were quick to notice job postings for the hotel appearing online during April 2022, sparking speculation about the impending reopening of this much admired hotel.
Now, it’s official, and guests can once again indulge in the five-star hospitality and dining experience offered by Makati Shangri-La.
