Manila: Intramuros Open Cinema Honor The Legacy of Jose Abad Santos

José Abad Santos was the fifth Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, briefly served as the Acting President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines and was Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines during World War II.
He was executed by the Japanese forces for refusing to cooperate during their occupation of the country during WWII.
His story is weaved together through interviews with his descendants, Philippine WWII historians, official documents and excerpts from articles written by Abad Santos’ son, Pepito, who was with his father through his last days.
