RANGGO Privacy & Terms of Use Policy – Effective as of 6th October 2022

MY RANGGO knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Practices & Terms of Use.

By visiting any of the websites and Apps operated by MY RANGGO, social media, events and any sub-domains thereof, or using any of our mobile applications and other methods of content distribution (collectively, the “Service” or “MY RANGGO”), you acknowledge that you accept the RANGGO Privacy & Terms of Use Policy and conditions set out in this Policy.

And you hereby consent that

a) that we will collect, use, and share your information as set out in Point 1 Coverage of the Policy and

b) that you agree to and will abide by the Terms of Use with regards to User Generated Content (Point 6).

The RANGGO Privacy & Terms of Use Policy includes MY RANGGO’s treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) and other information about you and your computer or device that MY RANGGO gathers when you are accessing the website or App.

We may collect Personal Information from you, as explained in more detail below, and we use this Personal Information internally in connection with our App, magazines and services, including to personalize, provide, and improve our products, services, content, and advertising, and to allow you to set up a user account and profile, to contact you, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, and to analyze how you use the website and browse the magazines.

In certain cases, we may also share some Personal Information with third parties, but only as described in point 1.d.

 

1.a. We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from children under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not attempt to register for the App, magazines, jobs, and services or send any personal information about yourself to us.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor under age 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

1.b. Information we collect

We collect Personal Information you enter on or through the App, subscriptions, and job/opportunity listings, such as when you create an App Profile, event registration, or create your free magazine/ subscription, use our advertising products, marketing services or contact us.

When you create an App Profile, register, or advertise, we (may) collect your Name, Email address, telephone number and location (optional).

We collect these basic details so that you can get better assistance, marketing your event, yourself or your business better, access your subscriptions on multiple devices.

Also, when you change your device, these details will help you sync your MY RANGGO account(s) and get access to your subscriptions.

When you receive a (free) magazine/subscription on our website, we send the issue, and feature update and promotions we feel you may appreciate to your registered email.

 

1.c. When you contact us, we collect your email address to provide services and answer your queries.

1.d. The Personal Information we collect DOES NOT INCLUDE any third-party account credentials (for example, your log-in credentials for Facebook, Twitter, Google or other third-party sites).

We DO NOT collect information associated with your use of MY RANGGO in order to make personalized recommendations.

We DO NOT ask you to provide your third-party account credentials to us, you understand some content and/or information in those accounts (“Third Party Account Information”) may be transmitted into your account with us if you authorize such transmissions, and that Third Party Account Information transmitted to the Service is covered by this Policy.

We may ask for additional information such as age, gender, and interests on surveys.

You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features.

For example, we showcase personalized magazines and articles based on the interests you’ve selected and some features of the App, such as the online resume feature are only accessible with certain information.

When you send MY RANGGO Gift Cards or subscriptions, we may collect the information you provide about the gift recipients, including name and email address.

We will use such information to fulfill your requests, provide the relevant service, or for anti-fraud purposes.

The Personal Information we collect allows us to respond to your requests, improve our products and services, customize the advertising and content you see, and communicate with you about new products, applicants, potential customers and event updates.

If you do not want to receive emails from us, you may opt out of MY RANGGO marketing and promotional messaging by contacting us at: info@myranggo.com

We also collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personally identifying information for any purpose.

 

1e. We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the MY RANGGO.

MY RANGGO automatically collects information on our server logs from your browser including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the name and identity of your computer, mobile device and other devices, your operating system, browser type and version, CPU speed, connection speed, and locale information based on IP address.

To the extent that IP addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal information.

MY RANGGO website and the Ranggo App collect usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of user visits and its components, which App features/magazines/events/jobs are added/saved/contacted, which jobs you’ve applied to, which magazines and articles are accessed through the website, and the length and time a user may spend reading those magazines and articles.

MY RANGGO uses this information to give a personalized experience to our readers/advertisers and also to improve our Services.

For instance, if you receive your free copy of our magazine, then book a get-a-way or event with a featured paid advertiser, we will follow-up or personalize your experience.

Or if you use a number of Loyalty Deals on the App at local coffee shops, we may contact you when we have new coffee shop Loyalty Deals in your area.

 

1.f. We also collect information about your interests, statistics, purchases, and activities with MY RANGGO and our advertiser/affiliates.

We may use this to solicit and present you with offers, events, seminars, and advertising which we believe may be of interest to you.

As part of this use of information, we may provide non-personally identifying, aggregate information to our Participating Publishers and other third parties about how our users/subscribers, collectively, use MY RANGGO.

1.g. We track your activities such as:

  • Your searches – To showcase more relevant keywords and results to you, and analyze trending keywords
  • Your downloads – To verify if you have downloaded the magazines which you are permitted to access
  • Magazines you’ve visited – To understand your interests and showcase more relevant magazines
  • Magazines you’ve read – To understand your interests and showcase more relevant magazines
  • Ads you’ve clicked through – To understand your interests and showcase more relevant interest
  • Articles you’ve read – To understand your interests and showcase more relevant articles
  • Time spent on reading each magazine and article – To analyze the quality of content and provide appropriate feedback to publishers
  • Web and features you’ve visited – To track features used by you and recommend features that you’ve not used.
  • We send push/email/PM notifications to our fans and ‘subscribers’ email.

These push notifications inform our fans and subscribers of new first-seen exclusive content –before the magazine is published.  As well as, exclusive offers, new issues going live, personalized magazines and articles.

The users can cancel subscriptions anytime.

We also track your interactions to our marketing initiatives such as which emails you have clicked and which push notifications you have tapped on, to understand your interests and improve our services.

We will also use usage information in order to ensure subscribers and advertisers adhere to our RANGGO Privacy & Terms of Use Policy.

  • For example, a user/subscriber’s usage information will help us confirm that a ‘job applicant’ is posting proper information and a ‘true-applicant’ as is reverse for a ‘job advertiser’ who should be a true-employer and abide by equal-opportunity employment and non-discrimination practices.   Both may result in termination of their ad account/ subscription(s).

If you win any of our contests which are conducted on our App, website/social media, we will need basic details from you such as Name, Email address, Mailing Address and Phone number to send the gifts to you.

 

1.h. You have the right to be forgotten by MY RANGGO.

You can deactivate your advertising account/subscription by visiting ‘Contact Us’ or emailing info@myranggo.com.  

We will deactivate your account and delete all your data from our database within 30 days from the time we receive your deactivation request.

 

2. MY RANGGO Cookie Policy

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer or device to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our website are visited and by how many people.

Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent or limit your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways.

You may wish to leave the cookies activated because cookies enable you to take advantage of some of the Site’s most essential features.

 

3. Sharing of your Personal Information

Personal Information will only be shared by MY RANGGO to provide or improve our products, services, and to contact you about our services; it will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Others: We may access, read, preserve, disclose, or release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with law and enforce or apply our Terms of Use; or protect the rights, property, or safety of MY RANGGO, our employees, our users, or others.

 

4. Security of your Personal Information

We use industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software to encrypt your Personal Information during transmission.

However, because no data transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and no system of physical or electronic security is impenetrable, MY RANGGO cannot guarantee the security of Personal Information in its possession or the security of its servers or databases.

Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

In the unlikely event that MY RANGGO believes that the security of your Personal Information in its possession or control may have been compromised, MY RANGGO may seek to notify you.

If notification is appropriate, MY RANGGO may notify you by email, messaging to your device, or other means within 72 hours of data compromise.

 

5. Personal information you can access

MY RANGGO allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, updating that information:

  • Email address,
  • Name,
  • Location
  • Marketing preferences.

 

This list may change as the Service changes.

The information you can view, update, and delete may change as the Website changes.

You can add or update certain personal information on your account, such as name and email address. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.

Upon your written request to info@myranggo.com we will remove your Personal Information from our active user database provided that

(a) you are current with all payment obligations,

(b) we do not believe it reasonably necessary to keep such information for any pending legal action, and

(c) we are under no obligation to retain such information.

Please be aware that any unfulfilled subscriptions may be canceled without refund and you will have to re-register in order to use the Service. It is your responsibility to request a refund from us.

Information you provide to MY RANGGO will be collected and stored in the Philippines, and the backup will be stored in the USA. By providing personal information to MY RANGGO, you hereby consent to such collection and storage.

 

6. User Generated Content

User Generated Content (hence referred to as UGC) is content that our subscribers contribute to the Ranggo App or to the MY RANGGO website, which is visible to or accessible by at least a subset of the App or website’s users.

This includes, but is not limited to, user profiles, comments, media, posts, etc.

MY RANGGO website has a checking system in place for comments posted in response to article content. As such Objectionable UGC content and behavior will be deleted and the Subscriber will receive a warning.

Types of content that is not allowed. Examples: Spam, malware, irrelevant links, abusive or offensive content, private information.

MY RANGGO and the RANGGO App’s Privacy & Usage Policy defines “Objectionable User Generated content and behaviors” as content which is offensive, abusive, insensitive, upsetting, intended to disgust, in exceptionally poor taste, such as:

Spam, malware, irrelevant links, private information. Inclusive of comments or content which abuse, threaten, harass, intimidates or impersonates ANY person.

Examples of User Generated Content which is offensive, insensitive, upsetting, intended to disgust, in exceptionally poor taste include:

  • Defamatory or mean-spirited content, including references or commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender or other targeted groups

 

  • Realistic portrayals of people or animals being killed, maimed, tortured, or abused, or content which encourages violence.

 

  • Depictions which encourage illegal or reckless use of weapons or dangerous objects, or facilitate the purchase of firearms

 

  • Overtly Sexual or pornographic material; explicit displays or descriptions of sexual activities or organs

 

  • Inflammatory religious/faith comments or images or inaccurate/misleading quotations of religious texts

 

Things that are not allowed on Ranggo App:

– Sexually suggestive content or Nudity

– Direct Attacks on an individual, group or business, credible threats or hate speech

– Content that contains self-harm or excessive violence

– Content that contains abuse whether perpetrated against another person, or animals

– Fake or impostor profiles

– Spam, Phishing links, fake competitions from websites or other social media platforms purporting to be from a legitimate company.

 

Objectionable User Generated Content Further Defined

Hate Speech – Ranggo does not allow any form of Hate Speech.

Hate speech is defined as a direct attack against people with regards to their race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, religious affiliation, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or serious disease. Ranggo defines attacks as expressions of contempt, disgust or dismissal, harmful stereotypes, or statements of inferiority, violent or dehumanizing speech and cursing and calls for exclusion or segregation.

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

Violent and Graphic Content – Ranggo does not allow posts which are graphic or violent, such as images or videos of graphic injuries of people or animals, violence being committed towards people or animals, or the ‘after-effects’ of violence or harm committed by or against humans or animals.

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity – Ranggo does not allow posts which feature nudity or sexual activity including digitally created content.  See also Safety below.

Sexual Solicitation – See Safety Below.

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted, and the appropriate authorities will be alerted.

 

Safety

We’re committed to making Ranggo a safe place and will remove content that could contribute to a risk of harm to the physical security of persons. Content that threatens people or businesses has the potential to intimidate, exclude or silence others and isn’t allowed on Ranggo.

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

Self-Injury & Suicide – Ranggo does not allow Users to intentionally or unintentionally celebrate or promote suicide or self-injury.

Such posts will be deleted.

Abuse, Nudity & Exploitation: Children – Ranggo does not allow content or activity which endangers or sexually exploits children. Nude images of any age group are not allowed.

Posts will be deleted, and the appropriate authorities alerted.

Abuse, Nudity & Exploitation: Adults – Ranggo does not allow content which depicts, threatens, or promotes sexual violence, sexual assault, or sexual exploitation. This includes content which displays, advocates for or coordinates sexual acts with non-consenting parties to avoid facilitating non-consensual sexual acts. 

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted, and the appropriate authorities will be alerted.

Human Exploitation – Ranggo does not allow content which coordinates or facilitates the exploitation of humans, including human trafficking.  

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted, and the appropriate authorities will be alerted.

Bullying & Harassment – Ranggo does not allow content which makes threats or releases personally identifiable information. This includes the sending of threatening messages, bullying, harassment or making unwanted malicious contact.

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

Privacy Violations – Content which shares, offers, or solicits personally identifiable information or other private information that could lead to physical or financial harm, including financial, residential, and medical information, as well as private information obtained from illegal sources will be deleted. 

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

 

Criminal Behavior & Violence

Violence and Incitement to Violence – we will remove any posts & comments which include language or imagery which incites or facilitates serious violence. 

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

Dangerous Organizations & Individuals – Ranggo does not allow organizations or individuals which are engaged in violence or promote a violent mission. 

Any such accounts will be deleted.

Promoting & Coordinating Crime – Ranggo will remove User accounts which facilitate, organize, promote, or admit to harmful or criminal activities targeted towards people, businesses, property or animals.

Restricted Goods & Services – Ranggo does not allow Users to purchase, sell, raffle, gift, transfer, or trade on the App unless it is via Ranggo’s own secure eCommerce Feature.

Fraud & Deception – Ranggo will remove content which willfully misrepresents or purposefully deceives or defrauds or exploits others for money or property.

Such posts will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

 

Intellectual Property

Ranggo does not allow post content that violates someone’s Intellectual Property Rights, including copyright and trademark.  

Ranggo Users own all of the content and information they post on Ranggo, and can use the post Privacy Settings to control the visibility of their posts; to All, Friends & Groups.  Before sharing content on Ranggo Users should ensure they have the right to do so. We ask that you respect other people’s copyrights, trademarks and other legal rights.

Such posts which violate the Intellectual Property rights of a person or business will be removed, and the account suspended. Repeat Offenders will have their account deleted.

 

MY RANGGO retains the right to block and permanently delete the accounts and profiles of any Users/Subscribers who persistently breach our Terms of Use policy.

 

6.a.  Our Management of User Generated Content

MY RANGGO Website is configured to ensure any comments made by Users/Subscribers on its articles and posts are automatically set to “pending” and are not available for public view ahead of being screened, verified and published.

The Ranggo App has an in-app system for reporting objectionable UGC and User/Subscribers, as follows:

  • Allows Users/Subscribers to report/flag potential violating content.
  • Allows Users/Subscribers to report/flag other Users/Subscribers for potential violations.
  • Includes an in-app system for blocking objectionable UGC and Users/Subscribers:
  • Allows Users/Subscribers to remove/block potential violating content.
  • Allows Users/Subscribers to remove/block other Users/Subscribers for potential violations.
  • All Users/Subscribers MUST accept MY RANGGO’s Privacy & Usage Policy provided by the developer before App usage.

 

7. Changes to this Policy

MY RANGGO may amend this Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Policy in effect at the time such information is used.

If we make changes in the way we use Personal Information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on the website, App and/or social media.

You are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when you use the Website, App or social media after such changes have been first posted.
