Manila Biennale: OPEN City 2018

The theme of the first Manila Biennale will be: “OPENCITY”, a term that refers to Manila’s role in the Galleon Trade, a time when we welcomed new people, products, and ideas. “OPENCITY” also references World War II and the tragic events that led to Intramuros’ destruction in 1945.

We invite you to wander about Intramuros and experience its street life, its art, and its culture. Visit one of the #mnlbnl2018 curated exhibitions, watch a play inside a centuries old chamber, join an art workshop, sign up for a lecture, catch an outdoor movie, or join one of the many parties and concerts happening throughout the month of February. There will be so much to see and do.
