The Henry Sison 3-day BARISTA Workshop covers theoretical, hands-on and practical sessions that will enhance and fine-tune students barista skills proficiency, enabling them to engage in the more competitive and ever-evolving world of the coffee industry.
Class Outline
Day 1: Coffee Varieties & Blends, Natural and Washed, Brief History of Coffee, Introduction to Roasting and Blending, The Invention and Evolution of Espresso Machines, The Preparation of the Espresso, Scaling and Coffee Tamping, Coffee Grinding, Espresso Calibration, Milk Frothing, and Cleaning and Maintenance of Espresso Machines.
Day 2: Coffee Tasting-body, acid, bitter, sweet, aromatic notes, Single Origin Coffee Tasting, and Grinding Exercises
Day 3: Barista Calibration, Espresso Extraction, Milk Frothing, Practical Skills, Different Coffee Preparation, Coffee Knowledge, The Third Wave, and Introduction to Latte Art
